THE SHAPE OF AIR
Thirty-two paintings have been completed - and there are many more to come!
"THE SHAPE OF AIR" explores light, motion, and mood through abstract skies. Clouds drift, light fractures, and the wind silently changes all that we see. These paintings represent the emotional weather we carry.
A GLIMPSE BEHIND THE SCENES
In the studio, my hands have been busy with two distinct rhythms. While continuing the atmospheric journey of The Shape of Air, I am also diving into a more instinctual approach: painting without premeditation, letting gesture and impulse guide the brush. This intuitive process invites rawness, immediacy, and a kind of truth that only emerges when thought steps aside.
These three gestural figure paintings were selected for the January/February show in Artel Gallery in Pensacola.
BOLD BLACK SERIES
One of my ongoing series is bold black compositions, combining black with white or another vibrant color. These are modern minimalist paintings, and you can see that they are emotionally charged!

This painting won an award at a Plein Aire Paint-Out art show at Quayside Gallery recently.
