"Horse Kisses" received the John Frenkel award at the Pensacola Interstate Fair in October 2026. Each year, the CEO of the fair selects a painting for this award. John Frenkel Sr. John Frenkel Jr. was both a foundational figure in the fair’s creation (through his father) and its long‑term operational leader, making him a central person in Pensacola’s fair history.
RECENT SHOWS

These three gestural figure paintings were selected for a show in Artel Gallery, Pensacola.

AWARD WINNER
This painting won an award at a Plein Aire Paint-Out art show at Quayside Gallery recently.
I painted it at the Bodacious Shop's outdoor eating area. It was a beautiful day, just perfect for painting!
